Five Tips To Help Better Your Business And Your Business
Plan by M.C. Podlesny

bearing." By: Horace
As entrepreneurs we all understand the importance of having a
plan and of course sticking to it. One of the best ways of
doing that is to write everything down. Write down all of your
thoughts and ideas. Then reorganize that information into a
formidable plan for your business.
Here are some tips that you can use for your plan:
Tip #1: Show that your business will actually make you money.
Define what it is you sell. How much will it cost you to build
the product and get it to market? Using how much you charge
your customer you can determine whether you are on the right
financial track.
Tip #2: Never make outlandish claims. I am sure we have all
heard them before. The, “My Product Will Solve All Your
Problems” pitch. Fact is if it sounds too good to be true, then
it probably is. Whatever it is you sell make sure what you
claim it will do, actually does it and does it well.
Tip #3: Have some, or many people proofread your plan. I do
this any time I make a change to the plan. You need a
combination of people that will look at your plan from a
business point of view and one from a grammatical point of
view. Visit the people at S.C.O.R.E. They can help you out on
both fronts.
Tip #4: Define who your market is. A lot of times I hear, my
product is perfect for men. Is it though? All Men? That’s a
wide demographic. Try narrowing that down to, “my product is
perfect for all men ages 21 to 25”. Now you are talking. The
only invention that is perfect for all men is the television,
and some might even debate that. Although my wife would
disagree to the debate.
Tip #5: Make sure your business plan starts at ground zero. In
other words if your plan claims you are going to make $50,000
in year one, show exactly how you get your first one dollar and
then $1,000, then $10,000 and so on. If the plan can not show
the clear road map from point A to point B, then you will get
lost along the way.
So there you have it. Five useful tips to kick start your plan
and business into the next gear.
